Mom & Joe Visit

I had a wonderful time this weekend with Mom and Joe. I was so happy to see them and spend time with them. I wish time didn't have to fly by. I wish I could see them more often. I got to eat alot of mexican food: tamales, tortillas, frijoles borrachos, rice, salsa..mmm heavenly goodness.

I can't wait to visit home in December. I'll see all of you soon.

Anxious, Nervous, & Excited

Today is finally here. My mom and Joseph fly into Baltimore Airport around 5:30. I'm getting out of work early to go pick them up. I'm very excited and a bit nervous. I haven't seen my mom in almost 6 months. It is so weird to know that they are soon going to be getting on a plane to come visit me. This will be Joe's first time flying. I hope he's ok. I think he's probably going to be excited and nervous. I can't wait to see them. My mom warned me already that she might cry when she sees me....hahaha. Poor mommy. I love her so much. Aside from Luis, the person I love the most in the world is probably my mother. I love my father and my siblings as much but I can't compare the love I have for her. It is something special and beyond words. This will be a good weekend.

Confessions Release Party @ HUSH!

I was browsing through The Blade right now and I found an ad for Madonna's "Confessions on a dance floor" CD release party this coming Thursday, Nov 17th! It's going to be at Hush, which is only a couple blocks away from or apartment. I called Luis and I emailed him the invitation. I think he's excited for me. I'm definetely going to try and get there early! How fun. This is why I love living in DC! Shit like this would never go down in Laredo.

Hell yeah Im going!

Confessions On A Dance Floor

I downloaded the entire Madonna album last week. Luis made two copies on Friday and I've been listening to it religiously over the weekend and throughout this week. My favorite song on the album is called "Sorry". It has a similar beat to Stefani's "what you waiting for". It's plain and simply fun. "Let it will be", another one of my favorite songs is really cool. I swear I hear elements of "Dont fear the reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult. In a very techno-ish bizzare way it sounds so much like it. There's guitar strings very similar to those on "Dont fear..". Im still buying the CD next Tuesday! She's one of the few I'll pay for.
