Summer 2006

The end of summer is almost here. So many things, so many stories about this summer, it has been great. A list of things that has happened since my last post:

My brother came to visit for an entire week in March.

I was home in Laredo visiting the end of March and got to witness my sister's small car accident. Not good.

I quit my job at Close Up Foundation. Thank God!

My friend Tony from Laredo came to visit us for a long weekend in May.

Luis and I moved out of our apartment in Adams Morgan in D.C., and into a one bedroom apt. in Alexandria, VA. So very different than living in the city.

Erika, Luis' friend and our previous roommate went to Alaska to work and spend the summer there - is coming back in October. Uh oh.

One of my Laredo friends who lives here announced she is pregnant. Very shocking news!

I got a new job working in tech support. Love this.

Joined the Sport & Health Club gym in June. Love this as well.

I am going to Laredo again this wednesday. I hope to bring back great memories to share. Work has been very busy lately, but I love it here. People are great and I love doing what I do. I am doing much better than I was in my previous job, both financially and emotionally.
